We are used to seeing crucifixes in church and that seems “normal,” but why have a crucifix in our homes?

Firstly and mostly because prayer in front of a crucifix is a means of focusing contemplation on Christ, but also because the crucifix is a constant reminder that Christ has conquered sin and death, and ultimately conquered evil.
