A bold 1.25-inch St. Benedict medal ringed in blue enamel — the centuries-old Catholic shield against evil, sized so every inscription can be read.
- Size: 1.25 inches (3 cm)
- Material: Silver-tone brass with blue enamel accents; made in Italy
- Design: Cross of St. Benedict on one side; St. Benedict holding his Rule, with the "Vade retro satana" ("Step back, Satan") formula, on the other
- Blessing: Blessed by Pope Leo XIV during a public audience in Saint Peter's Square
- Shipping: Ships from Rome, Italy
The die carries the Monte Cassino jubilee inscription "EX S.M. CASINUM MDCCCLXXX", rooting it in the medal's Benedictine home. Thick and generously sized, it wears well on a chain or rosary, and makes a strong patron's gift for a baptism or confirmation.
