Black Jostaberry (Ribes nigrum x uva-crispa)

A unique cross of Gooseberry and Black Currant, this is an extremely vigorous variety. A very disease resistant and easy to grow small shrub, Black Jostaberry produces very large, jet black, sweet-tart fruit, high in Vitamin C and good for fresh eating and excellent for jams and jellies.

Site and Soil: Currants like 1/2 day to full sun and well-drained soil.
Pollination Requirements: Self-fertile.
